Jacquelyn Soo from ArtStories was invited by Punggol Cove Primary School as an Artist-in-School Scheme project to engage the students in painting two murals on the values of sustainability.

Assisting Jacquelyn in this project is Trainer Angie Chua who had led a smaller group of students to design and paint on the smaller wall.

We begin the programme by dividing the class into groups where they are each assigned to a task for the mural. The students brain-stormed the design of the artwork and did their preliminary sketching and colouring on paper before Trainer Angie puts it into digital format, correcting and improving on some areas.

After which, in the remaining 4 sessions, the students then learnt how to transfer the artwork from paper to the wall and applying wall paints in the techniques of blending and texturing after.

Final details were then painted to completion by Angie and myself!

What a great accomplishment with the students!
