At the New Life Student Center, an inspiring program brought together primary schoolers and seniors to explore Peranakan culture in a hands-on way. The participants, many of whom were experiencing tile painting for the first time, worked side by side to design and paint traditional Peranakan patterns on tiles.
The seniors, guided by the children, embraced this new creative experience with enthusiasm, learning about the intricate motifs and vibrant colors that characterize Peranakan art. This unique opportunity allowed both generations to bond, with the children teaching the seniors the techniques, while the seniors shared stories of their own cultural experiences.
It was a heartwarming and fun-filled day where both young and old not only learned about a treasured cultural heritage but also created lasting memories together. Sincere thanks to New Life Student Center for creating the collaboration opportunity.
