We were overjoyed to get an invitation from SASCO @ West Coast Senior to work with their participants on our painting program. It made it possible for ArtStories to use the arts to improve our relationship with Singapore’s senior citizens and fortify our ties to the community.
The residents experimented with a range of painting techniques and mediums over the course of eight weeks, including lantern painting for the Mid-Autumn Festival, acrylic pour painting, stained glass art, and even Chinese ink paintings with elegant bamboos and cute pandas.
With each piece of art, the seniors shared their memories, feelings, and inventiveness, and many of them kindly asked that we come again. We genuinely wish to carry on this important trip year after year, providing seniors in their golden years with happiness, inspiration, and artistic exploration.
