August 2021 – Watch me demonstrate how to create a National Day Windmill just for our Nation’s 56th year celebration! All you need to create your windmill is coloured paper, straws, scissors, a pin, a pair of chopsticks, some sticky tape and an eraser!
8th August 2021 – It is our 56th year of independence Singapore and I was celebrating it with Chong Pang residents by teaching a DIY Courtesy Lion Plushie that is the first of it’s kind and specially made for this event!
We had the class over zoom and with much struggle, the plushie was formed! Here are some pictures of the zoom lesson in action!
June 2021 – This has to be the highlight for my month of June as I get to conduct a live demo in Origami Art for two lovely Hosts of Happy Kopitam; North West CDC Mayor Mr Alex Yam & Kelvin Soon! Happy Kopitiam is the #HeartofYewTee FB Live platform launched during the #CircuitBreaker
We had a fun time laughing and joking about folding origami shirt and pants for the guests as well as interacting with the guests online their FB page!
It was really fun to be a part of their programme!
June 2021 – Another new art workshop for School Holiday! Similar to Felt Cloth Puppets only this time, there is stuffing involved for the plushie and the children had such fun creating their own animals! We definitely enjoyed the time together with Limbang Cc & Woodlands Galaxy CC!
June 2021 – This is a new painting art class including a special light up feature in the artwork. Made for Children to enjoy during the School Holiday, PalmView RN took up this course and its residents had so much fun painting together!
June 2021 – I love teaching upcycling art and craft workshops as it is really all about helping the environment by reusing what we already have and t-shirts are a great way to upcycle them into useful items such as bags, dress, coasters and jewellery even!
Here in this online workshop with Woodlands RN, their residents are really happy to contribute in creating a greener and environmentally-friendly world! Check out their creations!
24 + 25 April 2021 – ArtStories x Bedok CC collaborated in a Community Brush Lettering Programme to engage Bedok South Residents to partake in pening down inspirational quotes and motivational messages for the community.
The two-day workshop with ArtStories resulted in a unique, personalised calligraphy work helmed by both young and elderly, families and friends. Even incumbent DPM Heng Swee Keat graced his presence at the event and contributed his own art piece! We were honoured!
All 300 pieces of the artwork has been scanned, printed and pasted on forex boards of 15cm x 15cm which will then be installed onto the walls and pillars of various blocks around the neighbourhood of Bedok South.
I am honoured and delighted to contribute art to my neighbourhood! I will share photos of the installed works in the public spaces once it is ready! Meanwhile, enjoy these lovely photos of the artworks and residents.
24 April 2021 – I has a fun workshop with the children from Serangoon Gardens Country Club. I conducted a Mason Jar Painting with Fairy lights workshop where the children get to learn how to use stained-glass paints and how to paint on glass effectively.
When the children inserted the lights into their Jars, their eyes lighted up as brightly as the lights! They were delighted at the sight of the bright fairy lights and they told me they will be putting the jar beside their bed as a nightlight before bed.
I wonder what beautiful dreams these children will dream of. 🙂
