Student Art Portfolio

December 2020 – A friend of mine engaged me to teach her son some basic art skills to prepare a portfolio for his entry into an art programme.

I was glad to assist her son and we tackled basic shading and toning of basic shapes that is required to excel in Still-Life artworks.

I started using only pencils and colour pencils for the exercise.

Art Programme for Preschoolers! Yishun My First Skool

2 November to 25 November 2020 – We had 8 sessions of fun with a Preschool in Yishun! The children learnt how to create their own Portrait drawing and role-playing dressing up as characters they want to be when they grow up! Some of their drawings are pretty comical!

We had children who wanted to be gardeners, doctors, policeman, athletes and even a teacher like us! We used crayons and watercolour to complete the artwork!

Brush Lettering Workshop at The Substation!

27th September 2020 – The Substation opens it door to the public with their series of Art Workshops conducted by Artists! What a great way to involve the public and community back into The Sub!

Safe-Distancing measures were implemented during the workshop and we had a small group of participants so it was just nice to conduct in a safe and cosy space!

Cheers to The Substation for their continuous effort in engaging Singaporean Artists!

Origami Workshop for Woodgrove Secondary School

20th & 27th August 2020 – With the lift of the Circuit Break and into Phrase 2, schools could resume back some group activities so long as safe-distancing measures are implemented and ArtStories was invited back to conduct a 2 day Origami Workshop for their students! Hurray!!!

However, we did not manage to take photos of the students and their creations but rest assured, all the students managed to finish their Origami Stationary Pen Holder, Box and some had time to fold a Rose too!

Here are some samples of the Origami works we taught the students!
