Chinese Ink Painting lessons for Deaf Children

26 Jan – The two students from School For the Deaf learnt how to use chinese ink and brush to create a simple Chinese New Year ink painting to celebrate the coming Rooster new year.

They were taught the materials used in Chinese Ink Painting, the wet on wet and dry brush technique as well as practising strokes and chinese characters to refine their skills.

After three lessons, they were able to create their own picture with the help of their own perseverance and patience. One student was absent and could not finish his piece but I do hope he will be able to continue it later on.

Here are pictures of their work in progress and final works!
