22 Sept 2018 – ArtStories held a simple Fan-making workshop for little ones at Jurong Green CC. Paper Fans were first developed and used by the Japanese in the 6th Century. It was primarily used by court magistrates for cooling off during the summer months. It later became popular outside of the court and people started inventing various patterns and designs to attract buyers.
In our workshop, we taught the little ones how to do the unique umbrella folding pattern and added designs to make their mini fans look special!
