Interestingly, we were invited by Hougang Secondary School to teach Brush Lettering to 40 students as a way of learning a new technique and DIY card making for the students to create their own to later make and give to charities after the workshop.
The goal of the session was to equip the students a sophisticated new skill set that they could use right away on the project. The “pay-it-forward” aspect of this partnership made it genuinely unique. Rather than simply keeping their creations, the students were encouraged to craft their cards with a specific recipient in mind: local charities.
This partnership with Hougang Secondary School serves as a perfect example of how “Meaningful Collaborations” can foster both talent and heart. We are incredibly proud of these young artists for using their newfound skills to give back to the community, proving that a simple handmade card can carry a wealth of compassion.
