It was a meaningful and rewarding experience to conduct a Mid-Autumn Festival Art workshop at Outram Community Hospital.
The workshops included lantern making using coloured paper, fan painting, and lantern painting. Through these hands-on activities, participants were encouraged to explore their creativity, express themselves through art, and celebrate the traditions and cultural significance of the Mid-Autumn Festival.
Beyond creating beautiful artworks, the sessions provided opportunities for social interaction, engagement, and meaningful connections. It was heartwarming to see participants immerse themselves in the creative process, enjoy the activities, and take pride in their finished pieces.
This experience reminded me of the power of art to bring people together, inspire joy, and promote well-being. I am grateful to Outram Community Hospital for the opportunity to facilitate these workshops and contribute to a warm, inclusive, and enriching experience for the community.
I hope to continue using art as a meaningful way to connect with others, encourage self-expression, and bring moments of creativity and happiness into people’s lives.
